National Leader in Writing Tools
The Challenge
I was 1 of 2 sole product designers for an AI productivity tool concept utilizing OCR and LLM. Our team (of strategist and designers) first conducted a 5 week discovery and innovation sprint deep-dive to help a large national brand explore, validate, and scope digital product opportunities that align with it’s brand and vitalize it’s digital presence. We then engaged in a 2nd phase (8 weeks) of product market fit research, rapid prototype iterations, and accuracy testing.
The Approach
Through customer interviews, rapid prototypes, and usability testing we validated their hypothesis, finding that consumers are looking for digital solutions and process improvements that will bridge the gap between their physical writing and digital lives while saving them time.
the result
I worked closely with engineers to explore and ensure the technical feasibility of solutions and integration opportunities that could go above and beyond to deliver value to customers. Through multiple rounds of prototyping, technical exploration, and user testing, we were able to define a potential MVP product the company could launch that excites both their internal teams and external customers. The tool tested to reduce the steps in a user’s workflow by 41%.
We are now working to bring this app to life.
