Hello,

I’m Vanessa!

An end to end product designer with experience in: designing and building tools from concept to MVP both mobile and desktop, facilitating design sprints, strategic research, design systems, feature prioritization and iteration, and much more. Being able to learn more about how small details and interactions influence emotions is what makes me happy and motivated to tackle every day!

My super powers are: finding and asking the right questions (I navigate complexity and see every project and problem as a chance to learn, grow, and share that with others through collaboration and mentoring.) and my ability to facilitate positive team environments (centered around collaboration, feedback, and supportive learning environments!)

In my past life before design, I was a senior auditor at KPMG working on pre-IPO start up clients. With this background, I bring analytical and strategic business-minded thinking to my designs as I spend time to analyze and consider what various stakeholders need and want from the end product design.

⭐ User Experience teaches me great life lessons!

The UX and design process helped me handle life better -- especially how to be comfortable with the uncomfortable. It’s been a great ongoing journey learning to be okay with being “stuck” in a problem space to better understand the problem, myself, and the people around me!

❤️ Being a Dancer and Artist trained my love & eye for Design.

Whether I’m dancing Locking or House, designing a new crochet clothing piece, or playing with animation: Nothing is more thrilling and exciting to me than seeing the small details of movement, visuals, sound, space, and so much more come together to resonate and connect with people emotionally.
